Data stored on your device

Lokee is designed to be local-first. Most of your app data stays on your device, such as your favorites, hidden phrases, language choices, and app preferences. This data is not uploaded to our servers.

What we collect

  • Account and purchase info: if you buy a pass through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We may receive basic purchase and entitlement status (for example, active or expired) via our subscription management provider (RevenueCat).
  • App usage: we may collect limited, aggregated event data (for example, which sections are opened and which features are tapped) to improve Lokee.
  • Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data to fix issues and improve reliability.

We do not need your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location for Lokee to work.

We do not sell personal data. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the app.
  • Improve phrase quality, audio, and search.
  • Understand what’s useful and what’s confusing.
  • Keep Lokee safe and prevent abuse.

Sharing and processors

We use trusted service providers (“processors”) to help run Lokee (for example: subscription management, analytics, crash reporting, and hosting). They can only process data on our instructions to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, which helps us validate purchases and determine entitlement status.

We may share information if required by law, or to protect Lokee and its users.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required by law.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • You can stop using Lokee at any time.
  • You can manage subscriptions in your App Store settings.
  • You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we may hold about you.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Lokee is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the effective date and may provide notice in the app or on this site.
